Family Tanzania Safari: Mikumi/Ruaha/Udzungwa/Selous
DURATION: 11 Days
Day 1
Arrival at Dar es Salaam airport and transfer to Peacock Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
After breakfast, depart for Mikumi National Park. Lunch at Genesis motel. Afternoon game drive in Mikumi Park. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 3
After breakfast, collect packed lunches and depart for Ruaha National Park. Picnic lunches served at Isimila Stone Age Site in Iringa. Afternoon proceed to Ruaha National Park. Dinner and overnight at the sellective campsite.
Day 4
After an early breakfast, collect packed lunches and have a full day game viewing around Ruaha Hills, valleys and the Great Ruaha River. Picnic to be served in the bush. Late evening drive back to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
After breakfast, check out and depart for Udzungwa Mountains. Stop for lunch at Kitonga Inn Hotel located at the foot of the famous Kitonga Mountain. After lunch continue to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Dinner and overnight at Ndovu campsite.
Day 6
After breakfast, collect packed lunches with porters and guides and start the gentle trek of the Mountains leading to the Sanje waterfalls. This exercise needs people who are relatively fit. Several view points are found on the climb where people can relax before continuing the trek. (750 m above sea level). Picnic lunches to be served on top of the falls. Early afternoon descend to the Hotel for shower, relaxation at the bar.
Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Mountains campsite.
Day 7
After an early breakfast, collect packed lunches and drive to Selous Game Reserve via Morogoro Town. Late afternoon game drive on the way to Ndovu camp or Hidden Paradise camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 8
Full day of Game viewing, boat safari on the Rufiji River. Picnic lunches in the bush. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 9
Full day game drive in Selous game reserve,visiting Selous Grave and the beautifully hot spring (its allowed to swim). Dinner & overnight at Jambo campsite / Mbega Tented Camp.
Day 10
Early morning walking safari in Selous game reserve,Breakfast then continue Game drive with picnic lunch boxes till sunset.Dinner & overnight at Jambo Camp site / Mbega Tented Camp.
Day 11
After breakfast load to the vehicle then drive back to Dar-es-salaam at the hotel where your tour will ends.
